Craig & Ida Miller

Miller Productions is a multimedia production company owned by Craig and Ida Miller. Their vision is to produce educational videos under the TradeMark, "For Pretty Hands!®" Their first production, "Basic Car Maintenance For Pretty Hands!®" was born out of this vision.

Craig is the "Techie" of the group and Ida is, well...everything else!

Fourteen years in commercial aviation as a certificated technician, Craig's professional background would hardly seem related to multimedia production. But changing career paths from technician to trainer, he found many uses for video, computer-based and web-based training, in addition to the typical training methodologies. The need for multimedia was rising and with nobody else doing it in his department, he got involved in developing multimedia courseware, finding out that he had a knack for it.

On top of an aviation-related degree in Specialized Technology and an Airframe and Powerplant license, Craig has a BS in Business Administration and professional certifications related to e-learning, performance consulting, instructional system design, training management, and is a certified master trainer. Craig has been making training videos since the mid-90s. Lastly, Craig has enjoyed making music with his guitar from the age of nine to the present, and feels that a life of music has made him a better producer/director.

Craig was the recipient of the 2005 AEGIS Video and Film Production Award for the production of a "Passenger Safety Briefing" training video for ABX AIR, Inc., an all-cargo airline headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio.

Ida first came up with the plan to educate teenage girls in the finer points of car repair to help them help themselves. She has always believed that "every girl should know how to change a tire, check the oil, antifreeze and transmission fluid, and know a little bit about what to look for when choosing a car technician." Her first idea was to conduct the training in her own driveway. When she saw the videos that Craig was making for work, the idea for an educational video was born.

Ida is a proud mother of four children and homeschooled each one from K-12. Her experience in primary education made her an invaluable asset to the design of "Basic Car Maintenance For Pretty Hands!®" She is considered an authority on many areas that affect homeschoolers and is invited to speak of various homeschooling-related subjects from time to time.
