More Tips
A friend of mine told me that a good tip to give out would be more information about tooling.
Did you know that you can often obtain special tooling that you need to do a specific job on your vehicle from a local auto parts store? It's true!
Next time you are in the auto parts store, buying whatever, ask the cashier whether they loan tools to do certain jobs. You may find out that your local Auto Zone or Auto Parts Plus will give you the tool(s) you need to accomplish your mission at no charge! What is hoped is that you will return to them again. Simple, road-walking sense. Moreover, they also believe that you will purchase your repair parts from them and probably will in the future. Bingo...instant customer relationship, which is a good thing to have.
So next time you have to do work on your vehicle, like a brake change or something like that, ask your local auto parts store for the special tooling you need. Beats the snot out of attempting to do the work with improvised tooling or actually paying money to rent the tools you need.
